Great West understands that our success is based in a large part on our reputation, and a very important parts of any company’s reputation comes from their sustainability policies. Sustainability is important for many reasons:

It is about the wise use and preservation of resources
It is about conducting business is a socially responsible manner
It is about giving back to your community
It is about making an ethical profit for your share holders
It is about successfully adapting to a changing world
It is about striving to make the world a better place

Great West believes strongly in these principles and always strives to improve in all these areas. Our stated values of Balance, Integrity, Growth, Commitment, Accountability and Respect were written by our employees to be something we live by everyday. We take them seriously.

Environmental Policy:

GWE is committed to incorporating sound environmental practices into all our activities. Together with our OEM’s we pledge to adhere to the following principles in the conduct of our activities and operations:

Reducing the discharge or release of emissions of toxic or hazardous substances or other contaminants. With the ultimate goal of complete elimination of such discharges and emissions;
Striving to meet or exceed environmental regulatory requirements applicable to our operations;
Striving to prevent spills;
Reducing the amount of waste, particularly hazardous waste created by the company’s operations and ensuring that waste is transported, handled and disposed of in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with regulatory requirements;
Ensuring the safe operating procedures take into account environmental safety risks;
Maximizing energy efficiency and conservation;
Aiming to only use contractors who operate with environmental responsibility

Some of the things Great West and our OEM’s do to reduce our environmental footprint:

Design and engineer hybrid and fully electric construction equipment
Recycle used lubricants and filters
Promote remanufactured parts, components, and complete machines to double or triple their life
Extended life oil change intervals that double the life of lubricants and filters thus reducing by half the amount of these items used over the lifespan of a piece of equipment
Promote biofuels and lubricants
Reduce the use of paper in all day-to-day activities
Recycle all office materials possible i.e., cardboard, containers, ink cartridges, etc.
Strive to obtain maximum fuel economy in our Equipment and in our daily operations
And more initiatives are in the works.
