The Madill 172 is a large leaning tower yarder. It is powered by a Detroit Series 60 Tier III 450 HP turbo charged engine mated to an Allison S5620A Powershift transmission. The 172 uses a D7 excavator undercarriage, boasts a 72 foot telescoping and tilting tower with hydraulic cylinders and offers 5 guylines as standard. Ideally suited to skyline carriage logging, this is the premium tower yarder in the industry.
